At the end of the general assembly held on Tuesday, the members of the Comité Colbert elected Laurent Boillot, CEO of the Hennessy cognac house, as the future President of the association. Laurent Boillot will take up his post in June next year.
Laurent Boillot will succeed Guillaume de Seynes, Managing Director of Hermès, who was quick to declare himself “personally delighted with this appointment”. Laurent Boillot will work hand in hand with Bénédicte Épinay, General Delegate of the Comité Colbert.
Bénédicte Épinay also reacted to this appointment: “I am delighted at the prospect of working with Laurent Boillot to promote our industry, the flagship of the French economy.”
Laurent Boillot himself declared “I am happy and proud of the trust placed in me today. I will have at heart to carry the spirit and the collective actions of the Colbert Committee far and wide. Our mission is to preserve, develop and transmit the know-how and values of French luxury in a continuous dialogue with the cultures of the world.”
As a reminder, the Comité Colbert is an association with one objective: to promote and transmit French know-how and creation throughout the world. Today, the Comité Colbert represents no less than 14 sectors of activity in the luxury sector. The Comité Colbert has 90 companies, 17 cultural institutions and 6 European members.
