The House Gucci unveils its first ever sustainable collection Gucci Off The Grid. A collection entirely eco-friendly from the raw materials to the advertising campaign imagined by the creative director of the brand Alessandro Michele.

This collection, made from recycled, organic, natural and sustainable materials, aims to strengthen the company’s commitment to circular production.

While the brand has been using 100% recycled nylon materials since 2016, it is now the central element of a large part of this collection of unisex ready-to-wear, accessories, shoes and luggage. For the rest of the pieces in the collection, they are made of recycled materials or sustainable alternatives such as solvent-free glues, polyester fibres or metal-free tanned leather.

This new collection marks a high point in the history of the Italian house. Also on this occasion, Gucci unveils an international advertising campaign, directed by Alessandro Michele. In the latter, actress Jane Fonda, singer Lil Nas X, Japanese singer Miyavi, environmental adventurer David de Rothschild and composer King Princess embody the collection and the house’s commitments.

“The collection is the result of teamwork; everyone contributed something. And in the countryside too, there is this idea of dialogue between people to build something new. I imagined that we could build a tree house in a downtown area, all together, like children playing in the park. Because we all need to build this house or to discover that our planet exists, even where it seems not to be there, or it is far away,” said Alessandro Michele.

To continue this dynamic, the house has launched a themed quiz on the collection and its production process. The most curious will be able to test their knowledge and build their virtual hut according to their correct answers.
