On Thursday, the French group Interparfums raised its 2022 targets for the third time, hoping for a year-on-year increase of more than 25% in sales. It is nevertheless cautious for 2023.

The Interparfums group had initially announced an annual revenue target of 600 million euros, before raising the target to 630-640 million euros a few months later, then to 640-650 million euros at the end of October. Finally, the group anticipates sales of 705-710 million euros for the past year, up by more than 25% compared to 2021. In 2021, the turnover was in fact established at 560 million euros.

These targets have been raised thanks to strong demand and “an extremely satisfactory delivery rate in recent weeks“, according to the group.

The operating margin, a key measure of the company’s profitability, should still “exceed 17 %” in 2022, after already 17.6% in 2021.

Interparfums, which owns the licenses for Lanvin, Boucheron, Montblanc, Rochas, Jimmy Choo and now Lacoste, was initially targeting 15% and then 16 and 17%.

On January 24, Interparfums is due to publish its annual revenues, which reached 514 million euros in the first nine months of 2022, with an increase of 16.5%. However, the group is cautious about 2023.

But “the economic and geopolitical context, as well as the persistent difficulties in terms of supply, do not allow us, at this stage of the exercise, to determine new objectives for 2023 before the publication of the annual results 2022 scheduled for March 1, 2023” stressed Philippe Benacin, the CEO of the group, in a statement.
