Hyatt Hotels Corporation reveals new openings for the coming years at the ILTM Cannes international luxury travel trade show.
Hyatt unveiled plans at ILTM Cannes for seven new luxury hotels and resorts in Europe and the Middle East scheduled to open by 2023, in addition to 24 other luxury hotels already planned. These hotels are expected to strengthen Hyatt’s portfolio of luxury brands in key growth markets.
The hotel chain continues to expand its brands such as Alilia, Andaz, Grand Hyatt and Park Hyatt, to name a few. With plans to drive recovery in many parts of the world, this announcement demonstrates the company’s continued commitment to meeting the needs of upscale travelers. The hotels and resorts are expected to exceed the expectations of luxury travelers, offering personalized and engaged service, unforgettable experiences and world-class offerings.
“Today, more than ever, our members and guests are looking for unforgettable travel moments, moments that are truly meaningful and leave an indelible mark, connecting them to experiences that change and inspire them,” said Amy Weinberg, senior vice president, loyalty, brand marketing and consumer insights at Hyatt. “The addition of these new hotels and resorts across Hyatt’s luxury portfolio will strengthen Hyatt’s position as a leader in the luxury hotel space.”
New openings
These hotel projects are located in Europe and the Middle East and have been carefully selected to complement Hyatt’s luxury portfolio. First is Magma Resort Santorini, part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand, which will open in mid-2022. This first resort on the Greek islands for the Hyatt brand will feature 59 rooms, nestled among ancient vineyards on the slopes of Vourvoulos.
The 7 Pines Resort Sardinia will also open in mid-2022, overlooking the La Maddalena archipelago and surrounded by a nature reserve. The Thompson Madrid, meanwhile, will mark the brand’s debut in Spain and its reintroduction to Europe. This dynamic and well-designed hotel will be located in the center of Madrid’s new Golden Mile.
Other openings include the Andaz Doha by the end of 2022, the Grand Hyatt Lanzarote by 2025, and the Thompson Monterrey in Mexico City by 2023.
