Ferrari on the road to success in 2021

Despite the global Covid-19 pandemic, Ferrari is reporting exceptional results for 2021 : the Italian brand is reporting a record sales year, surpassing the 10,000 sales mark for the year, which is higher than before the health crisis.

Ferrari has passed the symbolic milestone of 10,000 vehicle sales. In fact, Ferrari achieved 11,155 vehicle sales in 2021, up 22.3% on 2020, and 10.1% on 2019, the period before the global health crisis. In 2021, its turnover reached 4.3 billion euros, up 13% on 2019.

The record results were driven by the V8 engine range, in particular the F8 Tributo, which saw sales growth of over 34.6% in one year. This year’s sales are expected to be boosted by the launch of its first sports SUV, the Purosangue model.

“Ferrari has orders that extend to 2023 after delivering a record number of cars last year,” CEO Benedetto Vigna said Wednesday. “We have the strongest-ever order book in our history, up double digits versus the prior year and covering well into 2023.”, he adds.

In light of last year’s record results, the brand paid all its employees a bonus of up to 12,000 euros gross.

For the future, Ferrari is moving towards the electrification of its vehicles, for cleaner, quieter and interconnected mobility. The brand aims to have a fully electric car by 2025, while it already offers three hybrid models.

Benedetto Vigna revealed that Ferrari hopes to deploy 800 million euros of investment this year.
