Bvlgari Parfums creates Opera Grandiosa, an olfactory masterpiece that celebrates the brand’s Haute Joaillerie expertise and the traditional art of Venetian glass.
The jewel-like bottle is handcrafted in Murano glass by Fornace Mian, one of the world’s most famous glassmakers, on the island of Murano in Venice. It is adorned with gold and colored gems by the artisans of the Bvlgari High Jewelry workshop in Rome.
To obtain this bottle, the craftsman blows several layers of glass, working on different shades, transparencies and consistencies. The precious stones are cut, shaped and polished to the most vibrant shine.

It is in the Haute Joaillerie workshop in Rome that Bvlgari’s artisans create the most intricate one-of-a-kind creations, and it is also where the details and cap of the Opera Grandiosa bottle are made.
To create the precious necklace that adorns the bottle’s neck, Bvlgari chose 18k rose gold and some of its favorite gems. Sensual and intricate, the pattern is composed of hexagonal gold scales, evocative of the iconic Serpenti design, meticulously set with rubellites, amethysts and citrines.
The fragrance was composed by master perfumer Daniela Andrier. Gemme Imperiali Desiria is a luxurious magnolia eau de parfum with a touch of rose and a subtle accord of musks. This fragrance was thought as a jewel, transforming natural ingredients and a precious scent.
Opera Grandiosa will be sold in world exclusivity at the price of 50,000 euros at the Samaritaine in Paris and will be available in a single copy.
