While compulsory confinement affects a large number of countries in the world, Bottega Veneta unveils its brand new digital project accessible to all. Objective: escape, creativity and comfort.
Containment can sometimes be a source of anxiety, uncertainty and fear. To cope with this problem, the Italian house Bottega Veneta is stepping up its ingenuity and taking over digital platforms.
From Spotify to YouTube and the social network Instagram, the “Bottega Residency” program is being established on the screens of smartphones and computers in order to reveal the secrets of its talents. An idea from Daniel Lee, artistic director of the house.
The latter inaugurates this week the brand’s new platform. Big winner of the Fashion Awards 2019, the name of the Englishman has been on everyone’s lips since he became head of the Italian house in June 2018.
He said: “Bottega Veneta embodies creativity and strength. In this particularly trying time, we feel it is our responsibility to promote these values and to convey happiness and hope within our community and beyond.”
On the program, each week, the house will invite a collaborator, a muse or a talent from those close circle to reveal their favorite authors, directors and artists, from Monday to Wednesday.
Each weekend, Bottega Residency will offer live concerts by associated artists on Friday evening as well as a cooking class with a starred chef on Saturday.
Thus, at an hour when deliveries from Bottega Veneta are suspended and the fashion industry is idling, the brand is introducing this new concept to be able to stand out from its competitors.
