E-sport : A new collaboration in sight for Dior and Gran Turismo 7

The House of Dior enters the world of video games by partnering with Polyphony Digital and Sony Interactive Entertainment for the game Gran Turismo 7. The Artistic Director of the men’s collections, Kim Jones, has imagined a virtual wardrobe and has customized a vintage car in the image of the House’s DNA.

Unveiled at the GT World Series Showdown in Salzburg, the Dior x Gran Turismo 7 collaboration has revealed a series of virtual garments, otherwise known as ‘Skins’. It consists of a yellow and grey jumpsuit with the famous Dior Oblique pattern, matching gloves, reinterpreted Diorizon shoes and a grey and blue helmet.

The partnership doesn’t stop there, as Kim Jones has also customized a vintage sports car, the Tomaso Mangusta, with Dior’s codes.

Indeed, these virtual creations take up the Dior DNA, including the Dior Oblique motifs, the initials CD Diamond and the “Christian Dior Atelier Avenue Montaigne” patch. The number “47” appears on the driver’s skin and on the sports car, in homage to the year 1947, when Christian Dior presented his first collection in the salons of 30 Avenue Montaigne and created the “New Look”.
