The famous Champagne House Dom Pérignon is partnering with the prestigious Culinary Institute of America (CIA) cooking school in a scholarship fund. The goal? To fully fund the tuition fees of students through a unique program.

The LVMH champagne house and the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) are partnering for the first time to support the first Master of Culinary Arts program. The Dom Pérignon Scholarship Fund will pay the full tuition of 20 lucky students who wish to enter this new CIA program.

This master’s degree consists of two years of learning. Students will learn theory in school and practice in world-class restaurants, as Dom Pérignon states in its release. Students will also benefit from residencies on the CIA campus in New York and within the walls of the Maison Dom Pérignon in France.

The subjects studied will be rich and diversified. Among them will be professional excellence in cuisine, culinary history, agriculture, responsible sourcing, the relationship between wine and gastronomy, entrepreneurship and business leadership.

In addition to its financial support for future scholarship students, Dom Pérignon has also helped the culinary school develop its educational program through grants.

The art of cooking and good wine have always been intimately connected, and at Dom Pérignon, we recognize a responsibility to the future of gastronomy,” said Cellar Master Vincent Chaperon in explaining the partnership. “Our vision is to nurture a deep appreciation of the art of living in the next generation. The Dom Pérignon Scholarship Fund, made possible through the Culinary Institute of America, is the first step in bringing this vision to life.

For his part, CIA President Tim Ryan said, “We are thrilled to announce the launch of the first graduate program of its kind to further highlight the mastery, skill and business acumen of the culinary arts. This is truly a special moment for the CIA and the profession. And we are grateful to Dom Perignon for their support of this innovative program.”

Since its inception in 1946, the Culinary Institute of America has trained more than 50,000 students. This new program, in close collaboration with the French House, is the next step in continuing to educate students for a bright and successful future.
