During the first two weeks of July, Christian Dior Parfums will be offering wellness spa cruises in Paris aboard a boat moored on the Seine. A welcome initiative in a capital heated to the boiling point by Haute Couture Week and the summer sun.
The next Paris Haute Couture Marathon takes place from July 3 to 6.
A crazy program for participants – buyers, celebrities, journalists and other influencers – with this year’s edition featuring a hundred runway shows for autumn-winter 2023-2024, show rooms, cocktails, parties… All scattered around the capital, with flagship venues such as the Tuileries, the Cour carrée du Louvre and the Musée Rodin. Even if sneakers and flat sandals generally replace stilettos for running from place to place, the period is both exciting…and exhausting.
Among the 32 Maisons taking part in the show, whether they are among the 16 “full” members, correspondents or guests of the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture, Maria Grazia Chiuri’s creations for Christian Dior will of course be eagerly awaited.
A welcome interlude
And for all those who will – or won’t – be taking part in this hectic show, in a capital whose climate is probably overheating, another pillar of the House of Dior, Parfums Christian Dior, has thought of a welcome summer interlude for the Fashion Sphere.
From July 3 to 14, the company is hosting the Croisière Dior Spa aboard the Excellence Yacht de Paris, moored at Port Henri IV, near Ile St Louis.
The idea is to indulge in a tailor-made 2-hour wellness retreat on the water, with a view of the most beautiful Parisian monuments.
Two types of formula are offered: a “Treatment Cruise” or a “Wellness Cruise”, based on five holistic programs, to be chosen according to your current needs and desires: Detox, Balance, Reverse Aging, Power and Relaxation“.
A tried-and-tested formula
Last year, at the same time as Haute Couture Week, Dior already had the idea of associating its illustrious name with a similar wellness experience.
From June 29 to July 13, 2022, the Dior Spa Cheval Blanc was invited aboard a boat moored in Port Debilly, opposite the Eiffel Tower.
Two-hour mini-cruises allowed visitors to discover the beauty protocols of the Spa, which had opened a year earlier in the new Cheval Blanc hotel at La Samaritaine. One-hour sports sessions, led by specialists in various disciplines (barre, Pilates, Tai Chi, Yoga Flow…), were also offered to the more courageous. The boat could also be privatized.
All in all, a great way to prepare for the next Fashion Week, whether you’re following it in situ or on your phone or computer screen…
