While emerging brands are feeling the brunt of the Covid-19 crisis, which endangers the entire economic fabric, the French Federation of Couture and Fashion has just announced that it has taken a series of measures to profit from young creation. Focus.
Emerging brands find themselves in a delicate situation in the context of the current pandemic.
And for good reason, they must at the same time overcome this crisis, resolve the insufficiency of their working capital, anticipate the structural changes which are accelerating. All while continuing to innovate in their processes.
This is why the French Federation of Couture and Fashion has decided to take a series of beneficial measures.
Indispensable financial support
On the finance side, the federation will thus provide them with personalized support to facilitate their access to measures taken by the public authorities, such as the postponement of social and fiscal charges, the establishment of partial unemployment, etc.
On the other hand, the organization responsible for promoting fashion internationally. they will also help them to prepare financing files to enable them to manage their cash flow problems and activate in particular the loan guaranteed at 90% by the State.
The federation also announces that it will set up a support fund, in addition to what the Federation is accomplishing with the help of DEFI and the actions pursued by other players in the fashion ecosystem.
Tailor-made training
On the training side, seminars will also be organized on operational issues in conjunction with the Federation’s professional partners (RSM, Fabernovel, etc.). On the program: finance and treasury, digitalization and innovation, but also labor law, taxation, commercial, etc.
This is why the partnership with the French Fashion Institute (IFM) will be strengthened.
Emerging brands supported by the Federation will thus benefit from the lessons and Masterclasses set up following the Covid-19 crisis, namely the IFM Labels solidarity program.
Note also that the SPHERE trade show dedicated to emerging brands will be transposed into a digital showroom, in partnership with the B2B platform The New Black. The announcement of this postponement follows that of the Parisian week of men’s ready-to-wear and Couture, initially scheduled for June and July, due to the coronavirus pandemic. Currently looking for alternative solutions, like its British counterpart, the Federation may well announce that the next Fashion Week will be entirely digital.
