The jewellery house opened its incredible New York boutique with great fanfare on Monday.
Chopard unveiled its stunning flagship store on Fifth Avenue in New York earlier this week. The co-presidents of the luxury house, Karl-Friedrich Scheufele and his sister Caroline Scheufele, cut the ribbon for the opening on Monday. They were surrounded by celebrities such as Uma Thurman, Katie Holmes, Pete Davidson, Maye Musk and Olivia Palermo.
Located on Fifth Avenue and housed in the famous Crown Building, the shop is designed to reflect the spirit of New York and the brand. The flagship is designed to reflect an elegant New York townhouse with an art deco feel.
The multi-level shop is very airy, with lots of natural light reflecting off the white and grey veined Italian marble floors. Magnolia leaves made of Murano glass by Venini seem to float in the air and form a waterfall along the walls.
To mark the opening of the boutique, Chopard has created several watch and jewellery collections that pay tribute to “The City That Never Sleeps”. These include two limited edition Happy Sport watches with a red apple moving across the dial and a stunning L.U.C Quattro Spirit 25th Avenue Edition jumping hour watch featuring the Statue of Liberty in gold.
Karl-Friedrich Scheufele is delighted with the opening: “This new opening has a symbolic meaning for Chopard and my family. The Crown Building was completed in 1921, the same year that Karl Scheufele II, my grandfather, arrived in New York to find a job as a goldsmith. A century later, I believe Chopard’s historic connection to the United States is complete with this new iconic flagship boutique.”
