From July 6 to 17, the 2021 edition of the Cannes Film Festival will be held. This year, Spike Lee will be surrounded by a jury of five women and four men.
The names of the jury for the Cannes Film Festival were revealed yesterday. It is in a press release that we learn that it consists of five women and four men, “from five continents and seven nationalities. It is the American director Spike Lee who will preside over the ceremony.
This year at the Cannes Film Festival, the jury will be composed of the French director and actress Mélanie Laurent, known for her role as Shosanna Dreyfus in Quentin Tarantino’s Inglorious Bastards, the Austrian director and producer Jessica Hausner, the French-Senegalese director Mati Diop, American actress and producer Maggie Gyllenhaal, Korean actor Song Kang-Ho, Brazilian filmmaker Kleber Mendonça Filho, recipient of the 2019 Cannes Jury Prize for Bacaurau, French actor Tahar Rahim, winner of the 2010 César for Best Actor for the film Un prophète, and singer and composer Mylène Farmer.
Mylène Farmer creates surprise
La présence de la chanteuse française Mylène Farmer a pu étonner. Mais pour les organisateurs du festival, elle reste “indissociable du monde de l’image et du cinéma qui la fascine depuis toujours”. Mylène Farmer n’est pourtant pas la première chanteuse à accéder au jury du Festival de Cannes. En 1998, MC Solaar avait été juré et en 2016, Vanessa Paradis l’a également été. Et pour rappel, la chanteuse est aussi actrice. Elle a pu jouer dans “Giorgino” , un film de son ami Laurent Boutonnat et a même prêté sa voix à un personnage dans le film d’animation “Arthur et les Minimoys” .
Le 74e Festival de Cannes s’ouvrira avec la projection de la comédie musicale “Annette” le 6 juillet prochain. Un film dans lequel on peut retrouver Marion Cotillard et Adam Driver slovenska-lekaren.com.
