Burberry launches masks made from fabric scraps

The British luxury brand has decided to adapt to the market by launching its own protective mask in the near future.

To afford a mask of the Burberry brand, it will cost nearly 100 euros, or 90 pounds.

If until now, the brands have been shy on the subject, the frenzy caused by the collection of Off-White masks, the label signed Virgil Abloh, may be changing their minds.

Burberry is thus one of the first luxury brands to start selling these personal items.

For the time being, no date has been set for their marketing and the brand has not mentioned whether it will offer them in its boutiques around the world.

The British house says that these masks are made in a “sustainable way” with scraps of fabric. They will be reusable, incorporate antimicrobial technology and come with a matching pouch for transport to ensure hygiene.

That said, since the beginning of the crisis, some Burberry masks are already on sale on e-commerce websites, but they are counterfeit.

The masks that Burberry will sell will be available in two colors: beige and light blue.

And it will soon be possible to ‘bookmark‘ them on the Burberry website.

It should be noted that the brand will donate 20% of the profits from these sales to the Covid-19 Community Fund of the Burberry Foundation, which was created last April.

In addition, the brand produced masks and hospital gowns for British healthcare professionals at its trench coat factory in Castlefrod, UK in April at-casinos.com.
