Bucherer unveils its new Bucherer Blue timepieces

Watch retailer Bucherer yesterday unveiled the three new timepieces in its special edition, Bucherer Blue.

Blue is the signature color of Swiss watch and jewelry retailer Bucherer. In 2016, building on its close relationship with the watch industry since 1888, the Swiss retailer asked several major brands to create a special, exclusive and limited edition featuring this color. This was the birth of the “Bucherer Blue” concept, available exclusively in Bucherer stores.

The Bucherer Blue collection has now been enriched with three new products that are eagerly awaited by lovers of fine watches. Three independent luxury watch manufacturers synonymous with originality and creativity have taken up the challenge: Girard-Perregaux, H. Moser & Cie. and L’Epée.

In collaboration with Bucherer, these connoisseur brands have created some very rare watch products: wristwatches, but also a mechanical kinetic sculpture, each limited to only 18 pieces.

The color blue has been interpreted in three very different ways by the houses: Girard-Perregaux with its iconic flying bridges, Moser & Cie, with its baguette-cut blue sapphires and finally, L’Epée with its electric blue rims.

At Girard-Perregaux, the tourbillon under three bridges is a great classic and considered the oldest watch movement in the world still in production. The Bucherer Blue Edition watch has a very light, polished titanium case, housed between two sapphire crystal “boxes”, reinforcing the visual effect of aerial delicacy.

At H.Moser & Cie, the Bucherer Blue Tourbillon Streamliner is the first limited edition Streamliner made exclusively for a partner. It was created to celebrate the long-standing collaboration between the independent watchmaker and Bucherer.

The Streamliner combines the codes of minimalism and contemporary elegance for which the company is known. The integrated steel bracelet, the detail on each link and the cushion-shaped case pay homage to Bucherer Blue through a bezel set with baguette-cut blue sapphires that illuminate the brand’s signature smoked dial.

Finally, at L’Epée, the model revealed is the Time Fast x Bucherer Blue, which is nothing less than a kinetic sculpture of a race car. This single-seater with a fluid design worthy of the classics of the 50s meticulously transcribes the essence of childhood. The mechanical engine of the timepiece winds up like a toy car, powering the engine with a stepped movement that matches the brilliant blue bodywork.
