The Jacques Bogart group, specialized in perfumes and cosmetics, published today its first quarter sales figures. Displaying a good progression, the group does not intend to stop there and wishes to increase its profitability.

The Jacques Bogart Group today published its sales figures for the first quarter of 2023. The latter is up 17.2% to 64.8 million euros, compared to 55.3 million euros for the same period last year.

For this new fiscal year, the perfumer anticipates a further increase in the activity of the brands, whose “development potential remains high”, Bogart said in a statement.

For fiscal year 2023 and despite satisfactory results, Jacques Bogart intends to return to greater operational efficiency with a strong recovery in profitability.

Expansion plan

The Jacques Bogart Group owns the Ted Lapidus brand, both in its fashion and perfume segments. The group also owns Carven perfumes, the cosmetics brand Stendhal and the April brand.

The perfume brand said that new launches of perfumes and cosmetics “will be positioned mainly in the second half of this year”.

As such, Bogart is planning an active rollout plan for new products across the brands. In addition, after unifying its network of boutiques under the April brand in October 2021, Bogart plans to expand the visibility of this network to new territories (Slovakia, United Arab Emirates…).

New fragrance launches scheduled for the second half of the year include the new Silver Scent, the men’s version of Parfums Ted Lapidus, as well as the new men’s/feminine duo for Carven (Carven is Paris La Nuit).

Continuity of performance

As a reminder, the Jacques Bogart Group had already posted an increase at the end of the 2022 fiscal year. The brand reported revenues of 291.2 million euros, against 245.9 million at December 31, 2021, an increase of 18.4% at current exchange rates.

The group, which is still expanding, had integrated the 38 Nocibé stores on October 1, 2021 and the 70 perfume stores of the Fann chain in Slovakia since January 2022.
