On Thursday, Arianee announced that Bernard Peillon, former chairman of Hennessy, has joined the leading luxury industry NFT as an independent director.
Bernard Peillon will bring all his knowledge of the luxury sector to Arianee. Indeed, he has more than 30 years of experience in the world of luxury: he was CEO of the famous Cognac brand Hennessy belonging to the LVMH group. He has also held senior positions within the Danone and LVMH groups, as CEO of Ruinart.
Bernard Peillon said that “Innovation is the key to great brands. What Arianee is creating today is exactly what brand innovation in luxury and fashion should be: transforming the customer relationship to be more transparent, secure and surprising. I am delighted to join the board of Arianee SAS and support its mission to build the future of luxury.”
Pierre Nicolas Hurstel, CEO & co-founder of Arianee added “We are very proud to welcome Bernard Peillon as an independent director. His undeniable experience in the luxury industry brings a unique and rare perspective to our board. His appointment is a great opportunity to help us define the best approach and develop the most innovative and relevant solutions to support the transformation of luxury.”
Bernard Peillon’s appointment is an opportunity as it comes at a turning point for Arianee. Indeed, last March, the startup announced the closing of an eight million euro funding round, bringing together references in terms of tech and blockchain investments.
Arianee’s board of directors is therefore now composed of 6 members: Frédéric Montagnon, Pierre-Nicolas Hurstel and Julien Romanetto, three of Arianee’s co-founders, Thierry Vandewalle and Guillaume Simonaire, representatives of ISAI and BPI respectively, and now, Bernard Peillon.
As a reminder, founded in 2018, Arianee is a leading platform for NFTs more specifically in the fashion and luxury sector. Arianee is also Arianee Project, where its goal is to bring together major technology companies, around its open source protocol. Arianee SAS develops and offers the first SaaS platform, allowing the use of the Arianee protocol by brands, based on the blockchain. This protocol allows the association of a unique NFT, opening a new permanent, secure and anonymous communication channel between brands, owners and objects.
