Aya Nakamura, the French “pretty girl”, becomes the new face of the Lancôme cosmetics brand.

Aya Nakamura, the most streamed French singer on the planet, has joined the long list of Lancôme muses, according to Women’s Wear Daily magazine. She becomes the second black woman to represent the brand, six years after actress Lupita Nyong’o.

I am very proud to be a Lancôme brand ambassador,” confides Aya Nakamura. “Through this collaboration, I hope to inspire the women around me and push them to become what they have always wanted to be.

The rose brand was founded in 1935 by a French perfumer. And for a long time, Lancôme has chosen some of the most beautiful women on the planet to represent its beauty products. Among its list of muses: Penélope Cruz, Kate Winslet or Julia Roberts.

But she is not alone in joining the Lancôme clan today. The South Korean model and actress Jung Ho-yeon becomes the second face of the brand. One embodies a new generation that advocates naturalness. The other represents pure glamour and sensuality.

Lancôme has obviously known how to choose its muses (very well) for years… And this to reach a diverse public, where everyone can recognize themselves.

A new face, but not only

Aya Nakamura, who has just released her new album DNK, and the launch of the video to promote the title “Baby” is now the face of Lancôme perfumes, but that’s not all. This collaboration will also be the result of a documentary broadcast on Youtube. The latter, whose duration nor any images have been revealed for the moment, will follow the star in the preparation of her concerts at the Accor Arena, which will take place on May 26 and 28 (at the same time as the Beyoncé concert).

After showing what she was capable of in the fashion sphere, between trendy looks, collaborations and fashion shows, Aya Nakamura is now launching into advertising and product promotion.

Queen of the colorful and flashy looks, star of the frontroaws of the most prominent brands, she proves today that she can be a beauty queen as well as a fashion or music queen.

The young French-Malian singer, who became known thanks to her honeyed and melancholic love songs, is perhaps only at “40%” of her capacities as her song says. And she still intends to amaze many in the years to come…
