Au-Delà du Cuir is a business incubator for the leather industry. Each year, they select 6 winners who will be accompanied in their journey. This year’s winners will be incubated in January 2022 in the Au-delà du Cuir showroom.
On November 18, the Au-Delà du Cuir jury, composed of experts in the leather industry, fashion, marketing and entrepreneurship, selected the 2022 winners, under the patronage of designer Karine Arabian, who takes the lead after Jerôme Dreyfuss. After passing before the jury, Au-Delà du Cuir has chosen 6 brands, including two footwear brands and four leather goods brands.
Philéo offers collections built through the prism of a collective that generates ideas, concepts and moments of life. The creations are based on encounters and explore personalities and individuals who inspire the designer. This brand has the will to be fair and sincere and wants to be the spokesperson of an informed generation that cannot be fooled. Philéo is the new “luxury” sneaker, positioned at the top of the range at a fair price, and the result of a minimalist and timeless design.
MoEa is a brand of sneakers 100% vegan, vegetal, transparent and European. The concept? To each color corresponds the fruit or the vegetable which was recycled. Customers choose both the color and the material. The brand is defined by a combination of strong commitments to the planet and animal life while maintaining a style and a very sportswear spirit. In short, a vegan and trendy brand.
Valet de Pique is a brand of leather goods “Made in France“, authentic, local and sustainable. The pieces are simple, elegant and customizable. The company works with a factory based in the 11th arrondissement in Paris, which makes leather harnesses, tool cases and nail pockets. Everything is made there by hand or with machines as old as the workshop. “We want to pass on a know-how, a story, a memory, and above all a passion in each of our pieces.”
Pigeon Coq is the first French DIY workshop specialized in the making of handbags and leather accessories, founded with the idea of “dusting off” the DIY world. Many emerging players are focusing on the entertainment and less on the final result. Their strategy is to offer the most attractive products possible. They also propose boxes following the rhythm of real collections, like in the fashion world.
Michino is a Paris-based leather goods brand that blends innovative shapes with quality materials. The young and open spirit of the brand reflects the vision of its creative director, Yasu Michino, who has specialized in leather goods. He has worked for many prestigious houses such as Yves Saint Laurent, Balenciaga and Delvaux. Michino offers colorful, chic and creative designs that combine utility and luxury to fit the lifestyle of the modern individual.

Reco is a creative brand of accessories using sleeping stocks of high quality leather. The brand produces its patchwork-inspired designs with an assembly technique that enhances existing leathers. As a result, the collections are produced in limited editions. Overproduction and dormant stocks are two problems linked to the functioning of the fashion industry. The brand therefore seeks to offer alternatives at the right price to its customers without compromising on quality or know-how.
