Au-delà du cuir (ADC) is a system that aims to support a dynamic in the leather industry by encouraging the emergence of new companies and promoting French creativity. Yesterday, ADC revealed that the new godfather of the jury was named in the person of Jérôme Dreyfuss.
The ADC incubator was created in 2012 by the French Footwear Federation (FFC) and the National Leather Council. Frank Boehly, president of the CNC since 2014 and of the FEC since 2008, was also elected president of the specialized incubator ADC last June.
Each year, the jury, composed of 12 experts in the fields of leather, leather goods and footwear, selects a variable number of laureates who benefit from the support of ADC for the development of their artistic projects. In 2020, there were five to finish at the top of the list of candidates. This support system for the leather trades involves collective workshops and individual coaching on the major components of the business project, as well as financial support and the use of the showroom in Rue Cléry for the winners.
This year at Beyond Leather, Jérôme Dreyfuss was appointed to sponsor the jury and share his experience of French leather. He will provide advice to the designers to help them in their creative projects.
Jérôme Dreyfuss was 23 years old when he decided to launch his first women’s ready-to-wear collection, Couture à Porter. It was a little later, in 2002, that Jérôme launched into the world of leather, with the project of making bags that are supple, light and practical. A long line of bags was born, including Billy, the star of his collection.
Jérôme trusts the best craftsmen in France and Europe to shape his leathers. Also very sensitive to eco-responsibility, he registered the Agricouture label in 2008, guaranteeing quality products that always respect the environment.
The bags and shoes of the new sponsor of the ADC jury are now sold in more than 300 points of sale around the world, and are also available online here.
