Aston Martin published yesterday a teaser video of its new SUV model on social networks, leaving the suspense hanging.

British brand Aston Martin has not been very generous with details about the upcoming version of its DBX SUV. However, they have released a teaser video on social media, to show off the new model. The video shows images of an alloy wheel, carbon fiber embellishments on a dashboard, as well as Aston Martin stitching on the back of a headrest.

Currently, the Aston Martin DBX is equipped with a V8 engine that has 542 horsepower (550 PS) and 700 Nm (516 lb.-ft.). Aston Mаrtin’s 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 engine is expected to replace it in the new DBX. These resources are enough for 0-100km/h acceleration in 4.5 seconds for the DBX, but the new version promises to be even more powerful.

The announcement of “new performance standards” seems to mean that we can expect an increase of more than 150 horsepower for the new model. On the competition side, Lamborghini’s Urus has dominated the charts since its launch day with 650 horsepower, which remains the most powerful model in the segment. It is worth noting that the Lamborghini Urus can go from zero to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds, while its top speed is 306 km/h.

Automotive experts speculate that Aston Martin’s new DBX will carry the S suffix, while others say it could be a plug-in hybrid, which would mean an even greater increase in available power and torque. The new super SUV is expected to hit the market in February 2022.
