After going live last week, the first Hermes case for iPhone 12 or 12 pro sold on the Apple Store is now available for purchase for 450 euros. Only pre-orders were available since April 23.
The shell is made of Barenia calfskin, a leather that is characterised by its silky touch and develops a patina over time. It is heat-marked on the back with a Bolduc design, inspired by the emblematic ribbon tied around Hermès orange boxes.
The case is compatible and works with Qi chargers and MagSafe accessories.
The collaboration doesn’t stop with this simple case, the two brands have also launched the Apple AirTag Hermes, leather objects that house the AirTag, a device that allows iPhone users to easily and securely track and find their everyday items using the Apple ‘Locate’ application. The AirTag is also known as the Barenia Calf or the Swift Calf. They attach themselves to the most precious objects, and make it possible to no longer misplace them, all at a price of 299 euros for the bag accessory and 349 euros for the luggage tag.
As a reminder, the Apple-Hermès collaboration has been in place since 2015, with the launch of the Hermès Apple watch.
