Actress Anya Taylor-Joy has been named global ambassador for Dior’s beauty and ready-to-wear departments.

At 25 years old, the young actress Anya Taylor-Joy never stops making news. After a role in the horror film “The Witch“, she became the darling of the public by playing a young orphan who excels in chess in “The Queen’s Gambit“. This series, which aired at the end of 2020 on Netflix, was a success and articles were full of praise for this new talent.

We then find her treading the red carpets of the biggest events like the Emmy Awards or the Venice Film Festival. The common point of these two events? She wears Dior creations. Indeed, since the beginning of the year, Maria Grazia Chiuri, the artistic director of Dior, has been able to highlight the young actress with custom creations.

This was the case at the 78th Golden Globes ceremony. Anya Taylor-Joy won the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Miniseries there for The Queen’s Gambit and wore an emerald green gown by Dior. The dress, inspired by a silhouette from the fall/winter 2018-2019 haute couture show took over 300 hours of work.

More recently, she was seen wearing a yellow Dior dress at the Emmy Awards or for the Critics Choice Awards where she wore a draped tulle dress, also Dior. It is therefore a choice of heart for the House of Dior to have the young actress as the muse of its beauty products and makeup signed Peter Philips and for the ready-to-wear creations of Maria Grazia Chiuri.
