Pharrell Williams, the new artistic director of Maison Vuitton, has more than one trick up his sleeve. After the latest images from the new Homme campaign and the eagerly-awaited debut of the first collection under his creative eye, the multi-disciplinary artist is launching a free exhibition in Paris, called Just Phriends.
The free exhibition designed by Pharrell Williams, dubbed Just Phriends (a nod to the beginning of his first name), is an exclusive collaboration between his Joopiter auction house and Sarah Andelman, head of the late, lamented Parisian concept store Colette.
From tomorrow until Saturday, plunge into the colorful world of Pharrell Williams and discover rare works as well as unique archives and creations.
And because Pharrell does nothing like anyone else, this event will be nestled in the heart of a private mansion on Avenue Matignon (8th arrondissement), a stone’s throw from the Champs-Élysées.
Three surprises in one
First, Pharrell Williams surprised the fashion sphere with the new Louis Vuitton men’s campaign, starring the Barbadian singer known to all: Rihanna. Secondly, his eagerly-awaited first show for the Parisian fashion house is just around the corner. We wonder which artists will be present and, above all, how this multi-talented personality will express her fashion creativity.
And to make things even more sensational, the American artist is also unveiling a new project for his auction house.
A friend to the stars and an inveterate fan of contemporary art, this is not Pharrell Williams’ first artistic collaboration. After Japanese artist Murakami, he is now collaborating with Sarah Andelman, co-founder of the former Colette.
