Rimowa x RTFKT : German craftsmanship meets the metaverse

Rimowa has teamed up with RTFKT for a groundbreaking collaboration that blends craft and digital. This partnership brings to life an NFT collection and a physical suitcase, which will be launched on 27 October. Ready to board the Rimowa x RTFKT space station !

Rimowa, the case specialist of the luxury group LVMH, is launching a very exclusive collection with RTFKT. It consists of 888 NFTs to be integrated into 888 physical suitcases produced in limited edition, in reference to the number symbolising luck in the crypto community. The partnership also includes 2,222 RTFKT x Rimowa WorkerBots for Web3 enthusiasts.

The result of the collaboration, the “Meta Artisan” luggage features the House’s iconic aluminium shell, but covered in pixelated patterns.

“Pushing the boundaries is not something we are afraid of at Rimowa. So we were very excited to work on this collaboration with RTFKT and create something new that can live in both the metaverse and the physical world. This is an opportunity to showcase our German expertise in a new way and to really engage with the Web3 community,” says Emelie de Vitis, CMO at Rimowa.

To mark the launch, RFKT and Rimowa have created an interactive campaign, in which the crypto community is invited to solve puzzles to discover the hacked Rimowa x RTFKT space station. They will have to reactivate the station in order to make a mint of their limited edition NFT. The game will be followed by an exclusive digital event, in which NFT owners can integrate their assets into a physical case.
