The great haute-couture designer Germaine Émilie Krebs, famous as Madame Grès, is being honored at Maison Cornette de Saint Cyr. Until July 7, 2022, discover “Alix Grès: Architect of Fashion”, an exhibition and sale retracing the history of the house and its most exceptional pieces.
After the first exhibition retracing the history of the House “Madame Grès – Between Shadow and Light” at the Bourgoin-Jallieu Museum in 2004, Alix Grès is back in the spotlight with an exhibition-sale 18 years later, in the heart of the world capital of haute-couture: Paris.
From the clever draperies to the architectural creations of the 1970s, this event pays tribute to the rich couture know-how of Madame Grès, and the priceless pieces that make up her personal archive remain unmissable masterpieces of haute-couture.
The exhibition is free and open to all and is one of the most anticipated events in the fashion world in 2022, especially for haute-couture enthusiasts. It will take place in the Cornette de Saint Cyr auction house, located in the 8th arrondissement of Paris.
A total of 120 pieces from the Quidam de Revel collection will be on display before being put up for sale the day after the last day of the exhibition: Thursday, July 7, 2022, from 2:30 pm.

Their owners, Emmanuelle, and Philippe Harros, commented about these pieces that: “We had heard about the existence of this collection which was sleeping in a warehouse in the Lyon region. One day we decided to contact the owner. It was only after many long telephone conversations that we succeeded in convincing him to give us this collection… We were warmly welcomed by the owner and the guided tour began. The pieces, all listed and described, were carefully arranged, each in a large cardboard box. We did not have to wait until the end of the presentation to be convinced that this collection was for us” .
See you then at 6, Avenue Hoche until Thursday, July 7 to observe these wonderful treasures, reflections of a fashion from another era!
