Called “Adidas for Prada Re-Nylon”, the new Adidas and Prada capsule collection uses the codes of the mythical references of the sports brand.

After their collaboration in 2019, Adidas and Prada are joining forces again with an “Adidas for Prada Re-Nylon” collection, which will be released today, January 13. Launched in 2019, Re-Nylon aims to be an eco-friendly and responsible approach, using used plastic (mostly recovered from the oceans), to make nylon for its future fashion designs. For nearly 3 years, Prada and the company Aquafil, which produces Econyl (a nylon yarn made from plastic waste recovered from the oceans) have partnered to regenerate this raw material.

The capsule collection is launched with bags, sneakers and other sportswear including jogging suits or jackets. The exclusive pieces will be available in Prada stores as well as on the e-shops of both brands.

Torben Schumacher, Managing Director of Adidas Originals explains “Building on Prada’s recently introduced Re-Nylon textile, the collection wants to explore the innovative possibilities offered by more sustainable textiles. We truly see this as an opportunity to show that luxury, creativity and craftsmanship can be, and should be, created in a better way for our planet.
