ESMOD, one of the oldest fashion schools in the world, is celebrating its 180th anniversary this year. To mark the occasion, the ESMOD International network’s international fashion show was held in the glittering Hotel Potocki in Paris’ 8th arrondissement.
As part of the celebrations for the 180th anniversary of the brand and the group, the schools in the ESMOD International network came together to present and highlight the creations of their students during a major international fashion show held in the sumptuous salons of the Hôtel Potocki in Paris.
A selection of the best creations of the students of the 18 schools of the network were unveiled during a colourful evening of quality, during which several prizes were awarded, notably the Eco-Responsible and Heritage prize, which rewards the sustainable approach of a student.
The fashion show was also an opportunity to recall the essence of ESMOD International, as well as the future objectives of the network. Mr. Nino, president of the ESMOD International network, congratulated himself on the level of his students, which, according to him, is increasing year after year, as shown by the ever-increasing number of students who, on leaving the school, are increasingly founding their own company or joining the major groups in the luxury world.
Véronique Beaumont, the new Managing Director of the ESMOD group since the beginning of the year, also made a point of offering a few words. In particular, she recalled the commitment of the school and of the group in general to the development of training courses that are more in line with the realities of the market without forgetting the school’s roots.
For her, the future of ESMOD will be played out not only internationally, but also in its ability to offer modern curricula, in line with a certain number of good practices relating to ecology, know-how and social responsibility, while advocating common values of respect, tolerance and inclusiveness. For its 180th anniversary, ESMOD is keen to develop a new strategy, a new approach to fashion, a more ecological and sustainable approach.
