Sotheby’s International Realty opens offices in Bulgaria

Sotheby’s International Realty announced that Iris Estates has joined the network and will operate as Bulgaria Sotheby’s International Realty.

Sotheby’s International Realty is a luxury real estate brand founded in 1976 by the art dealers Sotheby’s. This new office in Bulgaria shows the significant presence of the Sotheby’s group in Europe and is a force of nearly 200 affiliated offices in the EMEIA (Europe Middle East India and Africa) region.

Bulgaria Sotheby’s International Realty is owned and managed by Hristo Angelkov in partnership with Andrei Manoukovski. The company will have two offices, one in Sofia, and will serve the entire country. Manoukovski also owns Moscow Sotheby’s International Realty, which serves Russia, Cyprus, Kazakhstan, Hungary and Slovenia, and has been operating for over 10 years.

Bulgaria is an emerging market and an attractive destination for residential developments, making it appealing to global investors,” said Philip White, president and CEO of Sotheby’s International Realty.” The country is experiencing positive momentum, offers attractive pricing and is located between major cities in Europe, Asia and Africa. The luxury segment is well positioned in the market, and I look forward to supporting Hristo and the entire Bulgaria Sotheby’s International Realty team as they continue to serve the country.

As a leader in luxury residential real estate in Bulgaria, it was only natural for us to align ourselves with a brand like Sotheby’s International Realty,” said Angelkov. “From the very beginning, our company has focused on luxury and residential real estate and has provided high quality services to expatriates and diplomats. Due to the attractiveness of the investment opportunities, we expect to receive increased interest from other Western European and Middle Eastern countries, both from investors and individuals. Our affiliation with Sotheby’s International Realty allows us to meet and exceed our clients’ needs while presenting these prospects to a global audience.

The choice of Bulgaria is no accident, as the region offers a variety of lifestyle interests, such as skiing, golf resorts in the mountains and on the Black Sea coast, winter and summer resorts, and is a booming spa destination.
