The luxury group Richemont announces a wave of new appointments, as Jasmine Whitbread and Patrick Thomas are proposed as directors of the group. Gary Sage is not standing for re-election.

Richemont has put forward two names for election to the Board of Directors: those of Jasmine Whitbread and Patrick Thomas, with a view to the General Meeting on 8 September. Their nominations are subject to shareholder approval. If both are appointed, they will be non-executive directors and will become members of the board’s nominations committee.

Patrick Thomas has over 30 years of experience in the luxury sector. A real advantage for the group. He has held the role of non-family executive at Hermès, where he was Chief Executive Officer and led the development of the group from 2003 to 2014, after having been Chief Operating Officer for eight years from 1989 to 1997.

Jasmine Whitbread is a British businesswoman and President of Travis Perkins since 2021. She has extensive leadership and management experience in marketing, technology, finance, media, telecommunications and not-for-profit organisations.

Gary Saage, a non-executive director of Richemont, is not seeking re-election to the board. However, he will continue as President of the Group in North America.
