The International Contemporary Art Fair is back

After the cancellation of its 2020 edition, the International Contemporary Art Fair is back in Paris from October 21 to 24, 2021.

The International Contemporary Art Fair is making a comeback next October. After the entirely digital launch (FIAC Online Viewing Rooms) last March, it will be held this time for the first time in part at the Grand Palais Ephémère and will bring together more than 160 exhibitors from some twenty different countries.

In addition to the Grand Palais Ephémère, FIAC will also take place on the Champ de Mars and the Galerie Eiffel. Visitors will be able to observe contemporary creations from all over the world.

Works presented by the most prestigious galleries of the French and international scene, such as Perrotin, Karsten Greve, Thaddaeus Ropac, Marian Goodmann, Gagosian, White Cube or Nathalie Obadia.

This year, 32 new exhibitors made their debut at the FIAC. This is the case of the Parisian gallery Christian Berst, specialist in art brut or Sies + Höke. Ten emerging galleries will receive financial assistance from the organizer to take care of their stand.

Installed in the temporary building of the Grand Palais Éphémère, the FIAC‘s exhibition space was reduced from 13,000 to 10,000 square meters this year. This constraint has not had any impact on the quality of the exhibitors and the quantity, since there are about thirty solo or duo exhibitions.

The Place Vendôme will be the protagonist of a major art installation project, while the Petit Palais will host the exhibition “Le Théorème de Narcisse” by Jean-Michel Othoniel.

In addition to the physical exhibitions, the event also relies on digital technology to expand. This 47th edition will also be accompanied by a FIAC Online Viewing Rooms, presenting some fifty galleries available exclusively online, on the platform developed with Artlogic.
