Swiss watch fair Geneva Watch Days will hold its second edition both physically and digitally. From August 30 to September 3, some twenty brands will present their watches in various locations in Geneva.

Thanks to the success of last year’s event, the founding and associated companies have decided to repeat the experience. Geneva Watch Days 2021 will be the first physical watch show organized in Switzerland this year. It will bring together some twenty brands in hotels, factories and boutiques in the world’s watch capital.

The absence of such an event due to the cancellation of the pandemic gave birth to the show. An initiative launched by a group of watchmakers, including Bulgari, Breitling, De Béthune, Gérald Genta, Girard-Perregaux, H. Moser & Cie, MB&F, Ulysse Nardin and Urwerk. Arnold & Son, Czapek, Doxa, Ferdinand Berthoud, Frederique Constant Group, Maurice Lacroix and Oris and Reuge. Some companies are still in discussion to participate in this event.

Like the fashion industry, the watchmaking industry has been badly affected by the coronavirus. After a drop in exports of 21.8% to 17 billion francs in 2020. The first four months of the year with a decline of 0.4% to 6.87 billion francs compared to 2019.
