In addition to the environmental objectives that the luxury group has set for itself, LVMH has recently taken decisions in the social field. Indeed, Bernard Arnault’s empire has set up a 30 million euro fund to allow its 150,000 employees to benefit from psychological support.
Called the “LVMH Heart Fund“, it was created to support the 150,000 employees of the group, spread over more than 70 countries, “confronted with an urgent, unexpected, serious and grave personal situation” and will also be able to benefit from exceptional financial aid.
In addition to this assistance, dedicated social and psychological support is offered “to help cope with more day-to-day issues, which the current pandemic often makes particularly acute“, says the group. This support will take the form of a number of resources available to employees: local hotlines will be accessible 24/7 on an “anonymous and confidential” basis. A website and an application, called “iConnectYou”, have also been created.
Chantal Gaemperle, LVMH’s director of human resources and synergies, describes the decision as “a unique initiative in its scope“. “The success of a company is not only measured by its financial results but also by its social contribution and the support it is able to provide to its employees, wherever they are in the world,” said Bernard Arnault, the group’s CEO.
