Real estate asset management company COIMA SGR said Bottega Veneta has leased a historic palace in central Milan for its new offices.

The brand belonging to the luxury group Kering has signed a 12-year contract to lease 10,000 square metres in the Palazzo San Fedele, a 19th century building located between the Duomo cathedral and the La Scala opera theatre.

COIMA SGR purchased the Palazzo San Fedele on behalf of the Qatar Investment Authority’s Italian real estate fund.

Renovation work will begin at the end of April.

It should be noted that Milan attracts the bulk of office investment in Italy, but the outlook for the sector is uncertain as companies re-evaluate their labour policies following the COVID-19 pandemic.
