The luxury car manufacturer Aston Martin has just chosen Girard-Perregaux, a Swiss luxury watch manufacturer, as its partner and official watchmaker.
Patrick Pruniaux, Managing Director of the latter group, expressed his enthusiasm for this new partnership, which he sees as a way of “uniting the two worlds to create something special“.
“2021 is an important year for Girard-Perregaux and Aston Martin. We are celebrating an amazing 230 years of watchmaking, while Aston Martin celebrates its return to Formula 1 as a factory team for the first time in more than 60 years.” says the CEO.
As a result, the Girard-Perregaux brand image will now appear on the cars of the Aston Martin Cognizant Formula team OneTM️.
This announcement comes a few weeks before the Bahrain Grand Prix, where the brand will make its comeback in Formula 1.
A first watch resulting from this collaboration will also be unveiled during the year.
