The Swiss luxury real estate operator has just acquired Le Grand Jardin estate, the only private property on the island of Sainte-Marguerite in the Mediterranean Sea, after its takeover plan was accepted by the Commercial Court of Cannes. The company is preparing to make major renovation investments over the next few months, in keeping with its historic character.

This exceptional historic property covers nearly 14,000 square meters. A prestigious residence, which welcomed Louis XIV, the Duke of Guise and the Governor of Provence. It is protected by a stone wall built at the request of Cardinal Richelieu.

The estate includes a main residence and its panoramic 13th century watchtower framed by botanical gardens cultivated for several centuries. Lush vegetation with its cypresses, Lebanese cedars, palm trees, olive trees, fruit trees and flowers with a thousand scents as well as a remarkable fauna complete this idyllic picture.

The place is accessible by sea and air. A heliport connects the Nice airport in a few minutes.

This acquisition is part of Ultima Collection‘s strategy to develop a portfolio of ultra-luxury properties. The company, listed on the BX Swiss market, concentrates its activity on top-of-the-range properties in prime locations that are attractive in both winter and summer.

Following the ambitious renovation project, the property will offer a dozen rooms, plus outbuildings, gardens and swimming pool. A boat, an open-air cinema and a health clinic will complete the range of services offered by Ultima Collection, which will be entrusted with the operation.
