The Milanese house makes its entry into the world of high jewellery with a first collection named “La Gioia” after the Italian “la joy”. The result: 165 shimmering and voluptuous models.

For this first high jewellery collection, Pomellato‘s artistic director Vincenzo Castaldo wanted to be part of the brand’s DNA. He therefore decided to entrust the creation of the collection to the same goldsmiths who create the house’s jewellery collections, in order to preserve the authentic and artisanal know-how of the “Casa Pomellato” workshop.

The house founded in Milan in 1967 by Pino Rabolini embodies a contemporary spirit and Italian know-how. The collection is inspired by the brand’s timeless designs, Nudo rings, Tango chains or Ritratto hard stones, to sublimate them.

“Our DNA feeds our high jewelry. We reinvent the Nudo rings, Tango chains, the hard stones of Ritratto, taking care to maintain the balance between the craftsmanship of manufacture and the audacity of creation,” explained Vincenzo Castaldo.

The line is characterized by its irregular and colorful stones, its distinct aesthetics and bright materials. However, “La Gioia” aims to be accessible and retains the sophisticated and humble spirit of the house’s jewellery.

“What I find interesting is that this collection can become a kind of bridge between our past and our future,” said Vincenzo Castaldo. “We had no restrictions, no limits. The real intention at the beginning was to celebrate our entire history. To declare: This is who we are.”

“La Gioia di Pomellato really expresses what we are, the deep identity of Pomellato who is not an elitist jeweller. This collection reflects a form of Italian art of living where no distinction is made between everyday and ceremonial jewellery, between those you wear and those you leave in the chest. In Italy, beauty does not frighten, it sublimates life,” confided Sabina Belli, managing director of Pomellato.
