The emblematic Fendi House has teamed up with the mythical Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, one of the world’s most renowned and best-known musical institutions, to present an exclusive performance of Antonio Vivaldi’s “Summer Succession” from the “Four Seasons ». A breathtaking performance to be held at the Palazzo della Civilizzazione Italiana in Rome and to be broadcast on Fendi and Accademia’s social media from 20 June. A great way to celebrate the Music Festival, the beginning of the summer season and the end of the confinement in Italy.

“The world has stopped and it is starting again now, so it is very important to gather all our possible energies in such a difficult context for the world and the industry. We would like this to be a moment of rebirth, linked to our house, to our Roman roots, and celebrating the know-how of our artisans as much as that of the artists of the Accademia,” said Mr. Brunschwig, President and CEO of Fendi.

With these words, Fendi announced the holding of a grandiose concert in the heart of Rome, in the picturesque setting of the Palazzo della Civilizzazione Italiana, also known as the Colosseum of the Piazza.

To celebrate the summer solstice on 20 June, the Italian house has joined forces with the National Academy of Sainte-Cécile around the project Anima Mundi (the soul of the world in French). The Academy will play Antonio Vivaldi’s Estate. Among all these talented musicians, we will find the violinist Anna Tifu, who will be dressed in 3 Fendi high fashion looks for the occasion.

Pure entertainment for viewers who have been forced into confinement by the coronavirus pandemic, but also a strong symbol because the two institutions will be able to reconnect with their artistic creativity and excellence in the field of fashion and music, after having repressed it for many weeks.

“The academy is one of the most prestigious in the world, and we have found a match for Fendi’s craftsmen and creativity. It was a bold idea because something like this has never been done before, but we have created something together, sharing a platform and helping each other get back on track, physically together,” said Mr. Brunschwig.

Fendi therefore aims to share a poetic and symbolic message of universal rebirth, like an ode to the return to life.

And because this moment promises to be magical, a drone will film the musicians at different places in the Palace. The full 12-minute version of the Fendi Renaissance Anima Mundi show will be available on the Fendi and the institution’s websites.
