The Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) is organizing this year the 6th edition of the Paris Shop & Design Prize. The purpose of this award is to highlight the most successful initiatives in the field of design and architecture in the design of sales spaces. The deadline for applications for Parisian shops has been extended until June 30.

All Parisian shops, local services, hotels, cafés and restaurants that have been creating or renovating points of sale for less than three years are invited to apply until June 30, 2020.

Shopkeepers, architects and designers can submit their application for one of the categories in contention: Food; Fashion; Home, decoration; Well-being, health, beauty; Hotels, cafés, restaurants and Culture, leisure, services to individuals.

This year, the jury composed of experts who will select the best creations will be chaired by Philippe Brocart, Director of SAFI and organizer of the Maison & Objet competition.

Several criteria are taken into account by the jury when assessing the various creations, including the aesthetic dimension, the functionality of the space design, its ergonomics, the proposed experience, accessibility and associated services.

Thanks to select partners including the Paris City Council, the Ordre des architectes en Ile-de-France and APSYS, the winners of the Paris Shop & Design award enjoy valuable support and enviable visibility.

With this prize, the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry wishes to raise awareness among the 62,000 Parisian merchants by demonstrating by example that design brings genuine added value to their business.

“To seduce a versatile and over-informed consumer, brands have no choice but to offer successful and differentiating shopping experiences… It is this abundance of initiatives and commercial innovations that Paris Shop & Design wants to report on. “, confides Dominique Restino, President of the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

“We are capitalizing, edition after edition, on this extraordinary creative bubbling which contributes to the attractiveness of Paris, a shopping destination par excellence” underlines Nelly Rodi, delegate of the President of the CCI Paris in charge of the Creation, Fashion, Design sector.

Design is seen as an approach based on a global reflection on the customer experience. It helps to strengthen the international influence of the capital and to highlight the attractiveness of its shops.

This initiative also promotes French design and, in the digital age, boosts traffic in “physical” points of sale.

The awards ceremony will be held on 12 October 2020 at the headquarters of the Paris Ile-de-France Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the Hôtel Potocki.
