The French jewellery brand Djula, in which the Chinese group Fosun recently took a 55% stake via its subsidiary Yuyuan Jewelry & Fashion Group, has just announced that it is supporting Restos du Coeur in the midst of the pandemic crisis.
With a donation of 8,000 surgical masks, the Parisian Jewellery House created in 1994, which very recently let Yuyuan Jewelry & Fashion Group, a subsidiary of the Chinese group Fosun, into its capital, intends to support the French association: “which through its action and its volunteers is in the front line and meets the essential needs of the most destitute people, with warmth and closeness“, as Alexandre Corrot, founder and Artistic Director of the Maison Djula, greeted it.

With a new 55.4% stake in the company, it should be remembered that the Chinese giant Fosun – owner of Club Med and Saint-Huber among others – is not new to Europe.
After buying the Lanvin fashion house and Wolford tights, the conglomerate is now continuing to shop in luxury.
The Chinese group plans to invest 26 million euros to boost Djula’s international development, particularly in China. The project is to open about fifteen shops in the next 12 months in the main Chinese cities.
Zhen Huang, President of Yuyuan Jewelry & Fashion Group, states that “Djula has a strong and immediately recognizable design in the world of jewelry“.
After years of development by the founding team, the brand, which decided to conquer the United States by opening boutiques in New York and Los Angeles in July 2017, has become known to stars such as Rihanna, Katy Perry and Beyoncé, thanks to its “rock” style and diamond creations.
As the group points out in a press release, DJULA’s communication, which relies on “Key Opinion Leaders” on social networks, is totally appropriate to the expectations of the Chinese market.
