At the Maison & Objet trade fair held in Paris from 17 to 21 January, Chantal Thomass unveiled her new collection of ceramics.
By Luxus Plus
This collection was born from the meeting, a few seasons ago, between the ultra-femininity of its famous designer and the know-how of the Italian ceramic manufacturer: Rometti.
Designed in collaboration with Jean-Christophe Clair, artistic director of Rometti, it features neck vases punctuated with ceramic or satin ribbons, amphoras adorned with cameos or painted lace, bowed bowls, decorative balls and hearts?
So many objects of covetousness and seduction with generous volumes that reveal through their sensual textures, refined details and demanding finishes the universe of Madame Chantal Thomass. Her fetish colours: black and white, powder pink and antique pink exalt all decors and ornaments.
Founded in 1927 by Settimio Rometti in the province of Perugia, and taken over in 2009 by Massimo Monini, its director, the Rometti manufactory perpetuates the tradition and exceptional know-how of Italian master ceramists.
Moreover, the land of Umbria has always been the vital nucleus of an artisan production that is not only limited to the creation of beautiful and exceptional pieces, but whose ambition is also to leave an original imprint in today’s panorama of ceramics.
For more than 45 years, Chantal Thomass revolutionized chic underwear thanks to her unique style, but during the year 2018, she decided to retire completely from the world of lingerie to concentrate on other projects.
