French company Devialet, which is revolutionising high-fidelity sound with its high-end speakers, has teamed up with watchmaker Ulysse Nardin to create a unique sound experience in an exceptional watch, the Hourstriker Phantom.

Luxury swiss watchmaker Ulysse Nardin aims to introduce high-flying mechanical watchmaking while Devialet is revolutionising sound technologies. By combining their expertise, the two specialists create a limited series of 85 ringing watches for a unique sound experience.
“Inventing a powerful ringing watch was our main objective. Moreover, the story was written in advance: Emmanuel Nardin, one of the founders of Devialet who co-developed this Hourstriker Phantom model, happens to be a descendant of Ulysse Nardin’s family. You can’t make that up. ” announces Patrick Pruniaux, President and CEO of Ulysse Nardin.
Ringing watches are the hallmark of the most talented watch manufacturers. They indicate the passage of time and quarters by striking a system of bells or timbres tuned like musical instruments.
The Hourstriker Phantom, enhanced by a black alligator strap, is sold at a price of 72,500 CHF. At this price, the Hourstriker Phantom becomes the most affordable ringing watch on the watch market. The timepiece will be sold in a limited edition of 85 pieces, referring to the 85 decibels it majestically achieves.
