The British designer, who is known for her focus on sustainable fashion, has been appointed the company’s latest ‘Mytheresa Woman,’ according to reports by WWD. As such, she has come up with an 11-piece exclusive capsule ready-to-wear collection for the retailer that is set to launch worldwide this week, on October 15 ed-hrvatski.com.

I want our customer to feel like they can wear the collection over and over in different ways,” McCartney told WWD of the new collection. “I have always made clothes with the intention of them being able to last, picking fabrics that we know won’t tire quickly and designs that aren’t always super trend-led, meaning you will only want to wear them for one season then dispose of them.

Many of the pieces, which include tailored separates and knits, have reportedly been made using sustainable viscose, with McCartney stating that 100% of the viscose used by her brand is sourced from “sustainably managed and certified forests in Sweden.” The topic of sustainability was to be discussed further at an event hosted by Mytheresa in Shanghai on October 14.

Last month, the Uruguayan designer Gabriela Hearst was named as the 15th ‘Mytheresa Woman,’ with the launch of an 18-piece series for the retailer that saw 20% of the sales proceeds donated to the organization Save the Children. The retailer has also previously collaborated with designers such as Victoria Beckham and Tory Burch, amongst others.
