More than just an entertainment app, Tiktok has become a true source of travel inspiration. According to travel and luggage expert Bounce, Dubai tops the list of trendiest destinations, followed by the United States.

After Instagram and its idyllic photos that make you want to take a plane ticket to paradise, here comes Tiktok and its dream travel videos, fueling users’ desire to escape.

Today, influencers can give advice and help plan trips, from destinations and flights to the best addresses and hotels.

The Bounce ranking shows which countries have the most views on the Chinese platform. The United States tops the list, followed by Mexico and Argentina. Surprisingly, Dubai does not appear here. You have to go down a little further to see another ranking: the most viewed destinations, which focuses on cities.

Dubai is in pole position, with over 140 billion views on the platform, followed by New York with 102 billion views. London, Paris and Istanbul complete the top 5, with views ranging from 55 to 73 billion.

For the second year running, with an increase of 72% in one year, Dubai remains at the top of TikTok’s most popular destinations. With its golden beaches, futuristic architecture, malls with attractions and year-round warmth, the Manhattan of the Middle East is sure to entice visitors.

And to attract even more tourists, the leading city of the United Arab Emirates has thought of everything.

Most of Dubai’s tourist attractions are free of charge, which appeals to visitors looking to save money. At the same time, more and more luxury hotels are opening their doors, attracting a wealthy international clientele in search of discovery and relaxation.

The city is also adapting to the Western world. Looking for something? You’re bound to find it in Dubai. Skiing in the desert? No problem. Eating traditional French cuisine in the Salon Rouge at Fouquet’s? Now you can. Or enjoy the city’s finest sushi on one of the highest rooftops in the world – Dubai has it all. It’s not for nothing that it’s nicknamed the city of excess. And since last year, Dubai has decided to cut its taxes on alcohol by 30%. A strategy designed to boost tourism and the economy.

In addition to the Bounce ranking, the figures speak for themselves. By 2022, Dubai had grown by 127% to over 66 million visitors. A significant increase, with no end in sight.
