Maude Maris decided to collaborate with Françoise and Jean-Luc Déchery after observing their interest in contemporary art.
Maude Maris will be the first step of this brand new project. This artist, known for his drawings, paintings and sculptures, where landscapes interspersed with forms, both plastic and mental, will be presented until March 19, 2019. The 38-years-old year woman is represented by the Pi Artworks Gallery in London and Istanbul. She works in Paris and her work is regularly presented in France, for example in Frac Auvergne, Basse-Normandie, Haute-Normandie and the Museum of Fine Arts in Rennes. But also in New York, London, Rome, Düsseldorf.
“For Equinoxes 1 we chose Maude Maris, and we had the opportunity to discover her work in a gallery that we are close to, the permanent back and forth between 2D and 3D, which embellish her creative process, her particular relationship to the volume and we seemed to be close to what we try to do on a daily basis in our factory.We thought that Maude would like to play with the thousands of tools, objects and rejects that accumulate in our workshops for In general, we always try to choose artists whose relationship to the subject questions our own relationship to things and materials, as a house and craft factory“, develops Jean-Luc Déchery, President of the House Camille Fournet.

Since 1945, Camille Fournet has been creating exceptional wristwatches, in the tradition of master saddlers. Specializing in exotic leather (alligator, ostrich, lizard python, shagreen), the brand also makes leather goods.
Since Jean-Luc and Françoise Déchery took over the brand in the mid-90s, the House has continued to develop with its exceptional expertise. Art lovers and collectors, Jean-Luc and Françoise Déchery seek to share their passion with the world. Camille Fournet has opened boutiques in Paris, but also in Tokyo or Beijing.
Françoise Déchery, Director of Camille Founet, reveals that the brand chose artists whose approach is closer to theirs. “The works that we support will be made to travel, thanks to the international establishment of our house, some of them, too, will be able to find refuge in our factory, in the sight of all. local, and our shops in places of exhibition, there is only one step … that we will cross perhaps one day“.
