3 questions to Chloé Tesla, the face of a new beauty brand that is rather committed

Le Rouge Français, a new luxury organic cosmetics brand, was launched in 2018 by Elodie Carpentier, a biochemistry engineer with degrees from Polytech and Kedge Business School. With a French and committed tradition, the house is certified organic by the “Eco-cert” label and cruelty free. To represent her brand, Elodie Carpentier chose Chloé Tesla, a 27-year-old model and influencer Vegan, committed to ecology and animal cause. The latter explains her role as an ambassador.

Interview by Claire Domergue

As a Vegan model representing Le Rouge Français, what are the values you associate with the brand?

French Red rhymes with aesthetics and prestige. But for me, it also rhymes with quality. In the current context, luxury cosmetics must be committed to respecting consumers, in particular by creating formulas that are not harmful to health. Animals too must be protected and exempt from the composition of their products; nor must they be subjected to dermatological tests. Of course, nature must also be preserved, because it is the guarantor of our most precious habitat for all of us.

Why did you choose to represent Rouge Français, the new brand of luxury organic cosmetics that is rising?

I am very happy to embody the values of Rouge Français because it is a brand that is committed to subjects that are very dear to me: ethics, eco-responsibility with products “made in France” that respect the work of people who guarantee know-how. In the world of fashion, it is not always easy to work with committed and ethical brands. When I have the opportunity to do so, my work and commitment make sense.
