The 89th edition of the Le Mans 24-Hour race, originally scheduled for June 12 and 13, 2021, will finally take place on August 21 and 22. The opportunity to come back on the different prestigious partners of this 2021 edition of the unavoidable event of the car fans.
The Le Mans 24-Hour race is a 24 hours automobile competition, taking place in June on a road circuit, south of the city of Le Mans, in the department of Sarthe.
The biggest brands have always been partners of this great event. These partners are divided into three categories: major partners, premium partners and official partners.
The one and only major partner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans is the famous watchmaker Rolex. Since 1930, Rolex has had close ties with the automobile industry. “Rolex’s passion for performance and precision has motivated its partnership with iconic endurance events and vintage races steeped in tradition.”
Premium partners include Total Energies, Michelin, Motful, GoodYear and the delivery company DHL.
As for the official partners, this year the event welcomes the Essilor brand, a French company specialized in the design, manufacture and marketing of corrective lenses and ophthalmic optical equipment. A three-year partnership has been signed between Essilor and the Le Mans 24-Hour race to communicate the importance of optimal vision on the road 24 hours a day.
The Forza franchise is also an official partner of the Le Mans 24-Hour race. “Forza, which includes the Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon game series, is the best-selling racing franchise of this console generation and home to one of the largest racing communities in the world. Through industry-leading automotive partnerships, the Forza games feature the world’s greatest race tracks and cars, including “First in Forza” debuts such as the McLaren P1, Ferrari La Ferrari, Ford GT, Lamborghini Centenario and Porsche 911 GT2 RS.”
The latest official partner of the event is the MMA insurance group, highlighting the dynamism of Le Mans and the Sarthe region.
In addition, this year the event will be covered by a new broadcaster: L’Équipe 21 and no longer France Televisions. “L’Equipe will benefit from the exposure offered by the world’s greatest endurance race: 100 million viewers and more than 250,000 spectators thus followed the 87th edition of the Le Mans 24-Hour race in 2019.“, says the event.
